2018 Generation Study Abroad Access Grant Receives the Most Proposals Ever!
More than 250 proposals were submitted by colleges and universities across the United States for the third annual Generation Study Abroad Grant including more than 50 from minority serving institutions and almost 40 from community colleges.
CIEE created the Generation Study Abroad Access Grant to recognize innovative programs that increase access to international education opportunities by students in groups that are traditionally underrepresented in study abroad.
The grant program is part of CIEE’s Generation Study Abroad ™ pledge to break through the barriers of cost, curriculum, and culture to double the number of students from all backgrounds, socioeconomic status, and majors who study abroad by 2020.
Faculty and Study Abroad Advisors are strongly encouraged to apply for the $20,000 annual award. Proposals for the 2019 grant will be accepted February – April, 2018, with a recipient announced in May, 2018.
